We are always looking for people to help us set up in new areas -
people keen to be a part of an initiative that will produce real
improvements in the quality of life of fellow residents by:
- allowing people to live car-free
- improving local air quality
- removing private cars from local streets
- increasing patronage for public transport
- allowing people to lead more active lives
If that sounds like you, read on!
Benefits
- Free membership to your local car sharing service
- Driving credits paid in return for your help
- Opportunity to be the ‘face’ of your local service (and maybe we'll name a car after you!!!)
The person we are looking for should be:
- A good organiser - you will need to get at least 20 people interested in joining the service to help get a car in your area.
- Passionate about urban sustainability, in particular transport
- An out-going personality – after all, you’re an ambassador
- Not in structured employment, for example not working full-time
- Over 25 years of age with a valid driver’s license and a good driving history
- A mobile phone
- A computer with an internet connection (if possible a scanner and fax machine)
- A basic level of mechanical knowledge - can you change a tyre, and a fuse?
- A good humoured ‘can-do’ attitude with a strong sense of community
You will be helping to sorting out
issues that we are not able to solve from our underground bunker (turn
left at the the island volcano, go into the dark and forbidding cave,
press the false panel on the cave wall and take the underground
monorail to the room marked 'Secret Inner Sanctum'.)
Please Nic or Bruce if this sounds like you.
