The Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts has been a lead pr oponent of car sharing as a TDM strategy in Australia, and has supported GoGet by sponsoring the seminar, 'Re-Inventing the Private Car - Changing personal mobility in the 21st century'.
We ran this seminar as part of our committment to industry development and to encourage everyone to understand the (sometimes complex) benefits of car sharing. GoGet was further assisted by the Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts with the provision of a grant under the Low Emissions Technology and Abatement - Strategic Abatement (LETA-SA) grants program. The funding assisted GoGet in working with local Councils to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by delivering an incentive package to encourage the disposal of infrequently used private motor vehicles.
