How does the insurance work? A GoGet car is just like a normal car when it comes to insurance.
It's fully covered and has an excess amount (from $1500) that's reimbursed to you if you’re not at fault.
The excess that is applied is as follows: | Age | Excess | Reduced Excess* | | 25 or over | $1500 | $300 | | Under 25 | $2000 | $300 |
*You can reduce your excess to $300 by paying a little extra per hour. ($5 minimum per trip that covers you for the first 5 hours and then it’s $1 per hour. The most you’ll pay in a day is capped at $18.) Under 21? We're trialling giving people under 21 years of age the chance to join GoGet. At the moment, while we trial it, only people under 21 and who live in Melbourne can sign up to any of our plans. The only difference is that the excess is $3000 and at the moment can't be reduced.
