Happy Valentine’s Day! This month, we share the love with members in new GoGet suburbs, have a great new deal for students and give you the chance to win a handy gift card to furnish your love nest!
Shouldn’t you be studying?
If you’re a uni student, you probably have some essay or research to be doing rather than reading this newsletter – but we’re glad you’re procrastinating! Our new goStudent plan is designed specifically for full time tertiary students. You’ll get a great rate with no sign up costs, access to cars 24/7 and a fast, easy and inexpensive way to get around! Click here for more details, or if you’re a UNSW student (where we already have cars on site), check your student diary!
“Can we talk to you about GoGet?”
Over the years it’s been our members who have done the talking for us, singing our praises and spreading the word about GoGet, encouraging their friends, families and colleagues to join the fold. Now, w14e’re asking for your help again! We want to recruit “GoGet Ambassadors” to be featured on our new website (ooh, teaser!). If you have a great story on how GoGet has worked for you and would like to see yourself on our new site, we want to hear from you! We’re looking for individual members and businesses to represent us online, so whether you’ve always been a faithful GoGetter, are a born-again carsharer or have recently converted, we want you!
GoGet is growing…
Thanks to our members, GoGet cars are popping up in more and more new suburbs. We now have three Yarises available to book in Rosebery in Sydney’s south-east, so spread the word! If you have friends or family who’d like to see GoGet near them, ask them to register their interest on our website. Cars are now available in Rosebery on Dalmeny Avenue, Queen Street and Crewe Place. If you know a street near you think could use a little GoGetting, let us know!
…all the way to Brisbane!
GoGet has teamed up with Lend Lease to bring Brisbane its first GoGet van! Doug the Van is parked at The Green apartments in Bowen Hills and will soon be available in our booking system. Keep an eye out for other cars popping up on site at The Green later in the year, too!
Win a $100 IKEA Homebush Gift Card!
If you’ve been out shopping in Rhodes in the last few weeks, you might have seen our vans parked in the IKEA Homebush Bay car park. We have two vans and a wagon ready to be booked and for anyone who isn’t a member yet, you can sign up and book a van in-store. Don’t forget, it’s free for IKEA FAMILY members to join! To celebrate, we have a $100 IKEA Homebush Bay gift card to give to the first person to take out one of the cars at Homebush Bay and email us a photo of their trip. Say cheese, everyone!

Tip of the month
Caltex has launched a new app for locating their petrol stations – especially handy for GoGetters if you’re running on less than a quarter tank. You can search by postcode or suburb to find stations where you can use our fuel cards and even use the app’s trip planner to find a Caltex en route! Download the Official Caltex Australia Service Station Locator App for iPhone or Android here! Here’s a big thank you to our member Tom Smithers for the tip! If you have a handy tip you think other members could use, share it!
Cool things members are doing
Every month we like to let you know about some of the cool things our members get up to. So if you have a story you’d like to share, shoot us an email. Frankie Lewis has been showing the boys how it’s done in the recent Bondi Board Riders competition! She has been the only female competitor for the last three years and this year, in the men’s open short board event, Frankie came ninth out of 64 men! Frankie’s also been named in the Bondi Boardriders’ Dream Team. And GoGet was glad to be a small part of it. “My car was stolen last year so now I use GoGet,” Frankie said. “I love using GoGet cars for my surf trips to the northern beaches!” This year, more women are following Frankie’s example and joining in the competition. To find out more, check out the Bondi Boardriders website. That’s all from us this month. As always, if you have any suggestions or feedback on our service, drop us a line or send an email – we’d love to hear from you! Nic Lowe and Bruce Jeffreys GoGet
