There is some 2 hour parking available in the Brisbane CBD. In the Brisbane Central Traffic Area you can park for a maximum of two hours on unsigned streets unless there are parking meters or signs showing otherwise.

The two-hour limit applies at these times:

Monday to Friday: 7am to 6pm

Saturday: 7am to midday

Brisbane City Council also has metered spaces that allow for cars to park all day for a capped fee and for shorter periods. Just remember you can’t book a street spot, so one might not be available where you need it!

Can Brisbane parking be made better with GoGet?

The short answer is yes! GoGet cars can be found in Brisbane City car parks, where members can rent them by the hour or by the day. If you need a car to make a trip that starts and ends in Brisbane City, GoGet could be a great option! Because every GoGet has a dedicated car spot, you won’t need to worry about finding a spot when you return the car, it’ll be there waiting for you.

Even if GoGet doesn’t suit your trip, remember that car share is a public service and great for the local community – we actually reduce the number of cars on the road. Car share is used by members to replace owning a car in the first place. That means fewer people own private cars, with up to 30 people using each GoGet car. With less cars on the road, there’s less congestion and less competition for parking, freeing up space for those who need it.
