Do it again

GoGet Getaway

You can’t have too much of a good thing, at least when it comes to 4 day weekends! This year ANZAC Day falls on a Tuesday, and who can resist.

If you’re taking a “free day” and squeezing in a second long weekend, let us match it with a free day. Book an SUV or economy¬†car from an off-street CBD pod for 4 days between the 21st¬†and 26th of April, and use promo code APRIL25.¬†We’ll discount 25%, or 1 full day from your booking cost. Check out our Specials Page for all the details, and an offer for Central Park & 10 Clapton Place.

A four day booking includes 600 kilometres of driving, which you can use over the course of your booking or just on some days – it’s up to you.

Introducing CarPlay

GoGet CarPlay

We all know cars and phones don’t mix. But unless you know all your friends’ addresses by heart, have directions to all your city’s destinations in your head and don’t mind listening to broadcast radio, a smartphone inevitably plays a part in your driving.

Recognising this, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto let you access all your phone’s main features through the car interface, steering wheel buttons and in-car microphones, without you having to look at or touch the phone while driving.

All our Kia Sportages are now equipped with CarPlay and Android Auto. You’ll need to bring a USB cable with you to use it, and depending on your phone there may be some steps to set it up for the first time. To make sure you can try out this great new feature, check out our online guides for CarPlay and Android Auto for next time you book a Sportage.

Tip of the month

GoGet fuel card

When you’re a GoGet member, fuel prices are something you don’t have to look at, think about or deal with. Just use the magic card and it’s all taken care of.

However, that magic card only works if you use the right fuel. For almost all our cars, that means the least expensive РUnleaded 91 and E10. We know some petrol stations want people to buy the pricier stuff, and might not have these fuels on every bowser or use confusing names for the fuel types.

The trick is to look at those petrol prices (however begrudgingly) and go with the lowest you can find. The exception is our Audis, so if your ride has the four rings go with the fancy Premium 95 or 98 fuel.

Come work for GoGet

If you’re up for a change of scenery, we’ve currently got four positions open – and one might be just right for you!

We’ve got a role in Applications, activating new members’ accounts and doing checks; in Member Services, helping members on the phone and email; in Fleet Crew, attending to our cars out and about in Sydney’s streets, and a part-time Payroll Assistant in Finance.

We’re recruiting for these four roles now, so if any of them interest you, apply today!

Parking passes

GoGet Parking Pass

Have you ever used GoGet from an off-street car park? All our car parks work a little differently, but most have parking passes to let you in and out of the boom gates.

For the parking passes to work properly, they need to be used every time the car enters and exits the car park. If a normal parking ticket is taken instead, the car park system gets confused and the parking pass won’t work again.

To help you remember, we’ve made new parking pass holders which remind you not to take a ticket. We’ll also soon be including more detailed information (and photos) for using the parking pass in your booking confirmation email.

Cool things out members are doing

GoGet member - Diego Bonetto

Do you ever find yourself out in nature, whether walking the dog or taking a bushwalk, and thinking: what can I get to eat around here?

Diego Bonetto wants to teach everyone how to connect to the environment at a deeper level, and one way is through foraging. He takes groups on mushroom picking trips, and holds foraging workshops in urban parks, showing you how to look beyond seaweed, fungi and leaves and understand what’s edible, what’s good for you, and what’s delicious.

If a day of learning new things, exploring the environment and trying some exciting new flavours interests you, check out Diego’s website¬†and book in a tour.

If you’re doing cool things, or have something you’d like to share, please¬†write to us.
