City of Melbourne Carshare Surcharge

We have recently implemented pod surcharges on some of our CBD and CBD fringe vehicles. This has been done to pass on the parking cost for these bays.

The amount a pod is surcharged is based on what a particular bay costs GoGet and we constantly review these to ensure that the surcharge does not exceed the costs we pay to use these bays. The surcharges are always shown on the app and the website when making a booking.

There are two levels of surcharge in Melbourne CBD: either $1.50/hour capped at $9/day or $2.50/hour capped at $15/day.

Carshare is a critical tool in efforts to reduce CO2 emissions and congestion in our communities. Each carshare vehicle removes 10 privately owned vehicles, freeing up parking for those who need it or for local authorities to reclaim for other uses.

We continue to work closely with the City of Melbourne to ensure carshare is as accessible and affordable as possible.
